Helping the Homeless

Our Work with Homeless Hampers UK 

Winserve Care Services have partnered with Homeless Hampers UK (www.homelesshampers.co.uk) to provide underwear for homeless people in Leeds.

Homelessness is on the rise, especially in these very difficult times. According to an official count, the number of homeless people in Leeds rose from 6 to 28 between 2010 and 2017 (https://www.leeds.gov.uk/housing/housing-strategy/homelessness-strategy). However, through talking to our partners at Homeless Hampers we understand that these numbers far underestimate the true scale of the issue.

We also understand that many of the homeless are veterans and we have veterans on our team who feel strongly about looking after each other. We reached out to homeless hampers UK to try to understand how we could help the homeless in Leeds and our fellow veterans.

They informed us that there is a critical need for clean underwear. We have since donated £300 of underwear which is being distributed by the amazing team at Homeless Hampers UK.

We are grateful to Homeless Hampers UK for the amazing work that they are doing to support the homeless in Leeds, and we are excited to continue supporting these efforts.
