Registered Manager - (Camborne, Cornwall)

Purpose of Position

  • The responsibility of this role is to manage and improve the operations of all care delivery to ensure performance standards are being followed, service delivery is in line with regulatory requirements, promote business growth and maintain and improve service quality.

Principal Responsibilities 

  • Improve the Care Quality Commission (CQC) rating of Winserve Care Services Ltd to a ‘Good’ rating or above and maintain this standard.

  • Act as the face of the organisation and lead the values and culture of Winserve Care Services.

  • Manage the recruiting, onboarding, training, and supervision of care staff with the support of the Registered Manager and the HR team.

  • Manage compliance with Health & Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 as are applicable to the people we support provided for at the home.

  • Support the staff team to prepare for internal and external inspections as required by the CQC and any other regulatory bodies.

  • Work in line with and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for that of yourself, your staff team, and the organisation.

  • Ensure accurate medication management and reporting for the service.

  • Assisting with ensuring the organisation is CQC compliant on all service delivery requirements

  • Communicating with partners including service user and their families, MDT colleagues.

  • Planning and implementing service delivery improvement plans to ensure the organisation remains compliant, competitive, and effective.

  • Working with the Director to grow the business through developing marketing campaigns, responding to tenders and engaging current and future partners.

  • Planning, and conducting service quality audits and ensuring process improvement plans are made and followed through.

  • Managing customer concerns, compliments & complaints, including following safeguarding processes.

  • Managing Risk, Health & Safety within the team, including accidents and incidents, and acting as an escalation point for emergencies.

  • Leading and encouraging continuous improvement activity, reviewing targets, performance and improvement plans with the management team.

  • Assist with business development growing further business from current contacts and attract new private service users.

  • Work on-call where required to support the organisation out of hours on a rota basis.

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the management team.  

Person Specification — Essential Criteria 

The following personal attributes are considered essential to the post of Registered Manager - Cornwall. 

  • Experience managing care service delivery or similar experience.

  • Experience in business development with a good track record of delivering growth.

  • Leadership and management skills and attitudes.

  • Experience preparing and supporting CQC, council or NHS inspections.

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

  • A proven background in evidencing ethics, quality, and care standards.

  • Experience in the delivery of safe Care Services to an excellent standard.

  • Managing all aspects of Complex care provision.

  • Supervision of all staff with the ability to motivate.

  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines/targets.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Ability to use IT packages such as Excel, Word.

  • Flexible Approach.

Person specification 

The job holder must: 

  • Be flexible in terms of availability, working hours, adaptability 

  • have previous experience of care work within the UK 

  • Be based in Cornwall (Or willing to relocate)

 Required Qualification and Skills  

 All applicants must have the following:

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Level 5 Health Care Management or Business Management degree or Adult Nursing qualification.

  • At least 3 years care management experience.

Job Type: Full Time, Onsite.

Location: Camborne, Cornwall.

Pay: £40,000.00-£60,000.00 per annum.

Facilities Manager (Cornwall)

Purpose of Position

  • To be responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and development of Winserve Care Service’s buildings, facilities, and estate services.

  • Ensures that all facilities are well maintained, compliant with health and safety regulations, and meet the needs of the organisation.

  • To work in partnership with teams across the organisation.

  • The post holder will also manage budgets, supervise contractors and internal staff, and drive sustainable practices across the estate.

Principal Responsibilities 

  • Manages general upkeep, maintenance, and security of the estate’s amenities.

  • Makes sure that the amenities meet health and safety standards and legal requirements.

  • Oversees the support services of a business, such as catering, IT, utilities, and physical environment.

  • Advises on energy efficiency.

  • Discusses client’s requirements and may advise client on the purchase of property and land for investment and other purposes.

  • Conducts or arranges for structural surveys of properties and undertakes any necessary valuations of property or agricultural land and deals with grant and subsidy applications.

  • Negotiates land or property purchases and sales or leases and tenancy agreements and arranges legal formalities with solicitors, building societies and other parties.

  • Maintains or arranges for the maintenance of estate accounts and records and produces financial forecasts.

  • Acts as arbiter in disputes between landlord and tenant and ensures that both fulfil their legal obligations.

  • Examines and assesses housing applications, advises on rent levels, investigates complaints and liaises with tenants’ association and social workers to resolve any family problems.

  • Track expenses for the organisation and ensure adherence to budget guidelines.

  • Any other jobs as assigned by the management team.

 Required Qualification and Skills  

  • 5+ years’ experience in a carpentry/maintenance related role.

  • Possess a BTEC/SQA award, a degree or equivalent qualification.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Be self-motivated and organised.

  • Be an active team player but also able to work on their own initiative.

  • Be committed to continuous development.

  • To be flexible/adaptable.

  • Be a good communicator.

  • Have good record-keeping and tracking techniques.
